Grab Bag, More Talking Like a Pirate, Freebie, and Link to Another!

Talk Like A Pirate Week is winding down at PDW, which has been a lot of fun. If you've missed it, you've missed a speed scrap, a treasure hunt, and lots of funny convos.

The Booty Bags (grab bags) went on sale, and will only be available through Tuesday night. On Wednesday, they will be opened and priced separately. I've seen what's in a few of them, and believe me, you're getting a deal! A few people have been curious, so here's a little peek as to what's in mine.

Brand new kit - Little Miss Superstar (and my partner in crime, I mean design Dani of Dani's Delusions will release a glitter pack to match it!)

Brand new mini kit Old Drama

And TWO pirate related word art packs

Where are packs 1 & 2, you ask? They were given out as prizes in the treasure hunt at PDW. But if you missed them, don't worry, they'll turn up again.

In the meantime, I have one more pack, which you can get here as a freebie.

And as I promised, a link to another freebie. Marla, CT member extrordinaire, has a QP for you made with Little Miss Superstar, available in my booty bag. Grab the loot while you can, because when it gets split up, this kit alone will be the price of the whole bag!

Here is the QP

and you can snag it on her blog here:

Until next time, have a blessed one!

Arrrrr! Talk Like a Pirate Day It Be! (Freebie!!!)

In case you don't know, Talk Like a Pirate Day is PDW's big sale/holiday every year. It all kicks off today, with most of the designers marking their entire stores down to $1.50 for PU and $2.00 for CU. There are lots of pirate themed kits, but even a couple ninja themed, and about anything else you can imagine. And both Kanga and April are retiring from designing at the end of the month to go back to school full time, so both of them have huge Buy My Store Deals. There's also a speed scrap tonight, and a daily treasure hunt through Friday, with FOUR prizes being given out today at the treasure hunt. Here is a look at one of them, a pirate WA pack that I made

And to get you in the mood, here is a little freebie, Captain Jack Sparrow's personal favorite phrase.

Download it here:

Don't forget, Wednesday starts the Grab Bag Sale (Treasure Bag? Booty Bag?) with lots of goodies! Until next time, be blessed!

Big News (freebie and a coupon!!!)

It's official! I am the newest designer at Plain Digital Wrapper! I hung around so much Lisa finally put me on the staff. LOL To celebrate my first kit there, it's marked 50% off today and tomorrow, so you can pick it up for only $2.00!

Click on the image to go to my PDW store. Be sure to check out both of my stores, because the products available in one will not be sold in the other.

Well, I know that's not much of a sale, because there's only one product there. How about a sale at my Faith Sisters store too?

Click on the coupon to visit my Faith Sisters store. The coupon code is kelsparty_67.

If you haven't checked out either of the stores lately, there are lots of cool things going on. PDW is having a CT call right now, check it out on the blog HERE. And we had so much fun with our 70s party last month, this month we're doing the 80s! Watch the forum, because Annette has awesome fun, games, and freebies planned.

Over at Faith Sisters, they're still having the monthlong Birthday Bash. Tomorrow is a Template Challenge, and next week is the Challenge Extravaganza with two new challenges posted every day. I'll be hosting on on Friday. And it's Freebie Friday all month.

Oh yeah, what would a party be without cake and gifts? Well, I'll just eat the cake for you, since sending it through 4shared would be messy, but I do have a gift for you. It's a quickpage made with my new kit Countin' Flowers on the Wall, available only at Plain Digital Wrapper. Click on the image to get your freebie.

That's all for today, but check back or follow me, because I will be listing more freebies over the next few weeks. Until then, have a blessed day!

August Color Challenge (freebie!)

This month I'm hosting the Colored Tape Challenge at Plain Digital Wrapper. I give you six colors, and you have to make a LO or mini kit to share using three of them. No other theme, no other requirements, just keep it PG rated please. And in case you don't have anything in the right colors in your stash, there's even a free mini kit to get you started.

How easy is that?

Now, in addition to your free starter mini kit, there is also a prize mini kit given to everyone who completes the challenge, and maybe even another goodie as well.

So head here to check it out and download your free starter mini.

Until next time, have a blessed one!

Attention Deficit Designer (freebie!)

Before I get around to explaining today's title, run! Hurry! The Faith Sisters Blog Train is almost over! If you haven't snagged those minis, you'd better get them tonight because tomorrow they go to the store!

Next up, shameless personal plugging. LOL I have two new paper packs, a set of photo masks, and a CU overlay set new in the store the week. The overlays are designed with different amounts of grunge and dingyness so you can adjust the destruction factor on your papers. You can even layer two or more for different effects. Check them all out here:

And I need to do a little PDW plugging. You have to see this week's new releases. They're all awesome. Here's a sample of what I've done with some of their work:

New Beginnings kit by Kris Myers (wordart by TLC Designs)

Stormy Weather by Julie.Itis

Sassy Pants by Southern Creek Designs

Now, as I was saying, or at least I think I was, I am the Attention Deficit Designer. I have a folder full of odds and ends that either I made something and then never came up with anything to go with it, or changed the direction I was going with the kit, or hit creative block and never got back to it. Tonight's freebie comes from a cowboy kit I was working on and never could come up with the elements I wanted to finish it. So here are 4 word arts, and maybe this will jumpstart my creativity so you can have a kit to go with them soon.

Check back soon, as I really need to clean out my odds and ends folder, and who knows what I might give away. Until next time, be blessed!

No, I didn't forget (freebie!)

For some reason, when I try to put the new stuff in the store at FS, it won't let me attach the download files to the store items, and so far we haven't been able to figure out why. Needless to say, that really derails an NSD sale! But I do have a kit for you that was supposed to be free in my shop for NSD weekend here, and previews of some of the upcoming new products. Whenever we get it straightened out, I'll run a post-NSD sale to make it up to you.

Here is your freebie:

Sorry, this link has expired. Look for this item in my store!

...and what I did with it.

Thanks for checking in, and have a blessed day!

Last Chance, New Freebie, NSD Countdown, and Shameless CT Pandering (Freebie!!)

If you haven't snagged the It's For the Birds Blog Train Collab yet, you only have a few more hours. The links come down tonight and tomorrow it goes on sale in the store.

Because.....tomorrow is the kickoff of the NSD Weekend! I know everyone is having sales and special events this weekend, but here are the ones I won't miss.

If I can get this FTP figured out, I will have new kits and paper packs in the store this weekend, and they will (hopefully LOL) be on sale! I'm also giving out a coupon for your next purchase for any $5 purchase in my store, and there will be freebies on my blog! And, the first 10 people who make a LO with one of my kits, upload it into my designer gallery at FaithSisters, and PM me will get a special RAK from me. (Should there be another term for that? It's not exactly random if I'm bribing you to do it....)

Moving right along, yes, I'm still CTing, I love my designers, and I have to show you some of their stuff and what I did with it. This first one, I know there aren't many components to the page, but I chunked and re-did this one about 4 times to get exactly the effect I wanted, and I think it turned out pretty cool.

This is made with Jude's January Kit which is actually a New Year's Kit! I know that New Year's and football naturally go together, but this just shows you how you can get a lot of mileage out of "theme" kits.

Julie.Itis has two new kits, and I can't decide which one I like better.

Pssst - you didn't hear this from me, but her everything in her store is going to be on sale for $2 this weekend!

And Lisa at Southern Creek Designs (the best Ninja you could ever work for) has a ton of new kits out. Here are two LOs I've done with her new stuff.

Tune in again tomorrow for more CT plugging and previews of my new items. If you're still with me, you deserve a freebie. LOL So here is a paperpack to coordinate with the DSO Color Challenge.

Now I have to get back to the attempts to load the new kits, so have a blessed day, and see ya tomorrow!

Finally! (freebie!)

Clearwire came out last night to see why I'm having such a hard time staying connecting to the internet suddenly. It turns out they had moved the tower I receive my signal from. The tech told me that I should be able to get better signal than ever before if I just move my modem (which would mean moving the computer with it, since the cord on the modem is only about 8 feet long) and put it in either the window above my DD's bed, or the window above my kitchen sink. For some reason, he just didn't understand why those weren't really options for me. If I have the computer in my room, the living room, or the dining room, I will continue to get very little signal most of the time. So now I have to figure out what to do about internet service.

But the good (?!?!) news is that I should get fantastic signal where my computer is now from about 5am to 9am daily. So I was finally able to get the element add on for Showers 'n Flowers uploaded, and here it is.

There's a bracket mat, a tree, a fence, a flower pot, more grass, a couple buttons, a couple bows, a couple butterflies, a couple bugs, 14 things in all.

download fsextraelements.zip

Well, we're off to deliver one family member to dialysis and another to hyperbaric, so have a blessed day!

Wednesday, March 25, 2009

The internet hates me.

Well, here we go again. I've spent hours trying to upload to 4shared, and it's not working. So I gave up and tried to load it at Digital Candy, but my internet keeps losing signal. I will keep trying.

But on a positive note, we (the children's group from our church and a handful of parents) went to see Power Unlimited this evening. If they're going to be in your area, you HAVE to go. They're body builders and ministers who present a positive, non-denominational message about self-worth, staying drug free, and the gospel, mixed with loud music and cool stuff like breaking concrete blocks, bending metal pipes, ripping (full!) soda cans in half, breaking baseball bats, and rolling up metal frying pans. Needless to say, the kids loved it. You can find them here:
Power Unlimited

Wish me luck on getting these elements uploaded and have a blessed (what's left of it) evening!

No, I didn't forget. (Freebie!)

Yes, I promised a paper pack add on for Showers 'n Flowers, but 4Shared was not being my friend yesterday. I tried to upload it six times, but each time it would get partly done and then stop. So I've gotten it loaded at DC, but I will still try to upload it at 4Shared just so I can keep all of the kit together. Here is the preview, and the link is below.

download fspaperaddon.zip

I will still get the elements add-on posted later today. Thanks again to everyone who's voted, left comments and downloaded from the contest at Faith Sisters. If you don't know what I'm talking about, here is the link:
http://www.faithsisters.com/photopost/showgallery.php/cat/6664

I had a couple people ask me about voting. It's really easy, you just have to register for the gallery, (which is pretty quick and painless, and they won't spam you or anything) be signed in, and then a link will pop up under each photo for you to vote. You only get to vote for one.

Have a blessed day and I'll be back in a little while!

More stuff for you! Freebies!

Thank you so much to everyone who's commented, voted, and downloaded the Showers ' Flowers kit from Faith Sisters. In case you missed what's goin on, I'm in a design competition, which you can read about in the previous post. There are (at last count) 22 minikits/kits available for download through the site, all coordinating colors, so you can end up with one incredible mega kit.

Here is my entry. You can download it (and hopefully vote for me...Please?)
here

And as promised, today I have for you the paper pack for the DSO Color Challenge.

download dsomar09.zip

As soon as I can get the file uploading to cooperate, I will be back on here to post a pack of additional papers to match Showers 'n Flowers. And be sure to come back tomorrow for the additional elements pack (another ribbon butterfly, more flowers, trees, and a picket fence like the one in my siggy) and Thursday I'll have a word art pack for you. I told you I loved these colors!

Until then, count your blessings!

Woo hoo (freeeeebie!!!)

Free Smiley Face Courtesy of www.FreeSmileys.org
OMGosh. Where do I even start?

I'm in the Faith Sisters Design Team contest!!! There are (so far) 18 entries, {edited: make that 23!} and you the scrappers get to help choose, by downloading our kits, leaving comments and voting. Yep, that means you get up to 18 kits for FREE!

Here is mine:
There are 8 papers and 20 elements in this part. Yes, that's right. This part. I kinda got carried away with the color scheme, and there are a few papers and elements that didn't make it into the kit, so be sure and check back within a couple days for the matching add on. You check out the contest (& download the kits) here:
http://www.faithsisters.com/photopost/showgallery.php/cat/6664

Next......my gallery was chosen for the Scraplift Challenge at PDW!!! You can check it out here:
http://www.plaindigitalwrapper.com/forum/showthread.php?p=9292#post9292
The winning LO gets a $5 gift card to the store, and I also have a posting bonus for all the entrants. I don't have the preview of that done yet (does anyone know where I can take preview making lessons? LOL) but I will get it done in the next day or two.

And...I have announcements about a couple new CTs and my paperpack for DSO's monthly color challenge coming up this week, so be sure to come back soon!

Thanks for stopping by, and have a blessed day (or few, until I see you again. LOL)
